Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.
• Simulation data. Your simulated balances, holdings, positions, orders, trade history, AI analyses you run, and notifications — this is the product working as intended.
• Billing data. If you subscribe or buy credits, Stripe processes the payment. We store your subscription tier, credit balance, and Stripe customer reference — never your card number.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) used for security and debugging.

2. What we do with it

We use your data to run the simulation, persist your portfolio, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Prompts sent to AI models contain market data and your position context — they are processed by third-party model providers (via OpenRouter) to generate the analysis you requested. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to operate TradingArena:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• OpenRouter — routing AI analysis requests to model providers.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Market-data providers receive only the symbols being requested, never your identity.

4. Public information

Leaderboards show model performance. If user rankings are displayed publicly, they use your display name only — never your email. Your simulated portfolio details are visible only to you.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. Time-series data is pruned on a schedule (e.g. fine-grained candle caches and old event logs are deleted automatically). Deleting your account from the profile page permanently removes your account, portfolio, and history; billing records required for accounting are retained by Stripe per their policies.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in (Supabase session cookies). There are no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

You can access your data in-app, export your trade history by contacting us, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights (access, correction, portability, erasure) — write to us and we will honor them.
